Never too late to learn?

I'm pretty sure I know what blogging is. It's kind of like journaling on a computer but the journal is not marked "Private! Keep Out!"... Instead it is out there for anyone to read.
My life journey has taken me down many different paths. I'm a wife, a teacher, a church musician, a mom, an artist, a newbie web designer and a Grandma! I have taught piano for over 25 years with as many as 65 students a year. There were many times when I was frustrated with the student who rarely practiced or ignored my golden rule: "Practice does not make perfect, it makes permanent. Only perfect practice makes perfect!" That being said, I have always loved seeing my students have that moment of revelation when they know they are doing something they will love for a long time. I remember one particular time I got so excited that a student had actually practiced that week and enjoyed it, I spontaneously hugged the girl and exclaimed, "You can play! You can play!"
That is how I feel about art. "I can paint! I can paint!" Since shifting from music to art, (although I still love my piano) I have found a new way of expressing my creativity. Please take time to check out what I've been up to. I was really disappointed last spring when after being accepted into my first art show, COVID canceled it. Needless to say, I have more art pieces now than I know what to do with and I am painting more all the time and loving it!
Thanks for stopping by and joining me on this journey.
